A Pet's Farewell is an Orange County, California in-home veterinary practice founded and led by Dr. Leah Feldman, a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV) through the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy who is also Fear Free Certified. Dr. Feldman grew up in Huntington Beach and spent years working in veterinary hospitals before recognizing the need for dedicated end-of-life care that could come to patients who could no longer travel. What to Expect

When Dr. Feldman arrives at your home, she will meet your pet and walk you through each step of the process at whatever level of detail feels right for your family. She recommends having your companion settled in their favorite spot in a well-loved room to minimize anxiety. A gentle sedative is administered first so your pet is in a peaceful rest before any further steps are taken. For families who choose cremation, Dr. Feldman coordinates transport of your pet's remains; private cremation returns ashes in a private chamber with a clay paw print, while communal cremation ashes are respectfully scattered at sea. Evening and weekend appointments may be available for an additional fee, and same-day scheduling can often be accommodated.
