Alpenglow Veterinary Services is a mobile veterinary practice based in Anchorage, Alaska, founded in 2022 by Dr. Sarah Johnson DVM. Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and practiced in Illinois, Oregon, and Washington before settling in Alaska, where she has lived and worked for the past seven years. She started Alpenglow after identifying a significant need for high-quality, flexible in-home veterinary care in the region — a need that is especially pronounced in Alaska, where distance and weather can make clinic visits difficult.

Alpenglow's fully equipped mobile practice allows Dr. Johnson to conduct a comprehensive range of services without requiring pets to leave the comfort of home. Beyond routine care, the practice stands out for offering diagnostic capabilities uncommon in mobile settings, including in-house laboratory work and ultrasound imaging. For families navigating a pet's final chapter, Alpenglow provides compassionate palliative care and hospice support at home. The practice is also a resource for Alaska pet owners who travel, as Dr. Johnson prepares national and international health certificates and regularly coordinates with Ted Stevens International Airport.

Alpenglow Veterinary Services operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed on weekends.
