Animal Emergency & Referral Center is a 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital located at 1009 Treetops Boulevard in Flowood, Mississippi, just off Highway 25. Operated as a satellite clinic of Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, the AERC serves the greater Jackson metropolitan area and accepts direct walk-in emergencies as well as referrals from primary care veterinarians throughout the region.
The center is staffed by veterinary specialists and supervised clinicians who provide expert care for critically ill and injured animals. As an MSU-affiliated teaching facility, the AERC also plays a role in training the next generation of veterinary professionals while delivering specialist-level services to local pet owners. When a pet's condition reaches a point where quality of life cannot be maintained, the compassionate team at AERC is equipped to provide end-of-life guidance and euthanasia services to help families through those difficult final moments.
