The hospital was established to provide a level of advanced veterinary care not available anywhere else in the state, employing a diverse team of residency-trained specialists, emergency veterinarians, and credentialed support staff. BEVS operates continuously, with emergency doctors and experienced staff available every night, every weekend, and on holidays for walk-in emergencies and hospitalized patients. The hospital also offers specialty referral services in surgery, dentistry and oral surgery, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, and radioiodine therapy.
