Caring Pathways

About Caring Pathways
Caring Pathways is Denver's premier in-home end-of-life veterinary care practice, holding the distinction of being the first AAHA-accredited end-of-life care veterinary practice in its service areas. The practice fields a team of more than 20 veterinarians who travel to homes throughout the Denver metro and Northern Colorado region—from Castle Rock to Fort Collins—providing compassionate care seven days a week, 365 days a year. Recognizing that end-of-life needs don't follow a schedule, Caring Pathways now also offers overnight in-home euthanasia appointments in the Denver Metro area, available 24 hours a day.
Caring Pathways is also the only end-of-life veterinary practice in their service area with a dedicated, in-house cremation operation. Through sister company Amare Pet Cremation, a beloved pet remains within the care of the same trusted team from the in-home visit through final aftercare—a level of continuity that gives families genuine peace of mind. The practice also provides paw print keepsakes and custom memorial products, and their care team is supplemented by a digital assistant and online resources to help families assess quality of life and navigate next steps at any hour.

What to Expect
Caring Pathways begins their process with a Pathway to Care Assessment tool on their website, which guides families toward the most appropriate services based on their pet's current condition. For families seeking comfort care or a quality-of-life consultation first, a Caring Pathways hospice veterinarian can visit your home to evaluate your pet's health challenges, pain levels, and quality-of-life indicators—providing expert, in-person guidance without rushing to any conclusion. When the time comes for euthanasia, the veterinarian conducts the appointment with full dignity in your home, followed by a seamless handoff to Amare Pet Cremation for aftercare. Because Caring Pathways is available every day of the year—including overnight—families in the Denver area never have to wait for compassionate, professional support during the most difficult moments.
