About Compassionate Care Mobile Veterinary Service

Compassionate Care Mobile Veterinary Service has been providing in-home veterinary care and end-of-life services to the Kansas City area since 2011, making it the longest-running mobile vet clinic in the region. Founded by Dr. Chad Geri, DVM — a Kansas State University graduate who established the practice after seeing the impersonal direction many corporate-owned clinics were heading — the business remains locally owned, family-operated, and dedicated to giving every client genuine, unhurried attention. Dr. Geri holds a 5.0 star rating on Google and is 100% recommended on Facebook, reflecting years of trust built one family at a time.

Dr. Geri serves families throughout Johnson County, Kansas — including Olathe, Overland Park, Lenexa, and parts of Leavenworth, Douglas, Miami, and Franklin counties. For in-home euthanasia specifically, he can perform the procedure inside the home, in the yard, or at your pet's favorite location, accommodating whatever setting brings the most peace to the pet and family. Same-day weekday appointments are often available for urgent situations, and evening appointments can be arranged on weeknights for an additional fee.

Services Offered

Compassionate Care Mobile Veterinary Service provides the following services to families in the Kansas City, Kansas area:

  • In-Home Pet Euthanasia
  • Quality of Life Exam and Consultation
  • Communal Cremation (through Rolling Acres Crematorium)
  • Individual Cremation with Ashes Returned
  • Terracotta or Ink Paw Print and Nose Print Keepsakes
  • Fur Clipping
  • Routine Mobile Veterinary Care (exams, vaccinations, medical care)

What to Expect

Dr. Geri begins each euthanasia appointment by collecting basic medical information before administering a subcutaneous sedative that typically takes 5–15 minutes to fully relax the pet. During this time, he steps back and gives the family private moments together. Once deep sedation is achieved, the euthanasia injection is administered — families can choose to be present or step out, and the procedure can be performed in the home or in Dr. Geri's vehicle if preferred. Afterward, Dr. Geri can transport the pet to Rolling Acres Crematorium for communal or individual cremation, or families may make their own arrangements. Individual cremation includes ashes returned to you in a complimentary urn, with custom urn options available through the crematorium's website.
