In the more than five decades since opening, the cemetery has become the final resting place for over 1,000 animals — from beloved family dogs and cats to horses and, famously, Stoney, an elephant who performed at the Luxor hotel and was buried in a specially dug grave on the property in 1995. The cemetery is fully licensed with the state of Nevada, and each animal interred there must be registered with the appropriate government documentation. Craig Road is now part of the Gateway family of pet cemeteries, a Canada-based company that has continued the facility's tradition of dignified, respectful pet memorial care.

Beyond its historic burial grounds, Craig Road Pet Cemetery operates an active cremation business with five cremation chambers sized to accommodate pets of all sizes — including one of the largest cremation chambers available to pet owners in Clark County, large enough to handle horses and similarly sized animals. The cemetery maintains a dedicated K-9 section honoring retired service dogs from the Metropolitan and North Las Vegas police departments, and includes a mausoleum where urns can be permanently interred. Craig Road also has a special area and transportation services for deceased horses, which the team can pick up directly from a family's property using a truck and horse trailer.
