Dixie Memorial

About Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens
Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens is a beloved institution in the Mid-South pet community, originally established in 1992 in honor of Dixie — a silky terrier and the cherished companion of founder Barbara Wells. What began as a small memorial has grown into a 23-acre pet cemetery just outside of Millington, Tennessee, now home to the final resting places of service animals and beloved companions from across Shelby County and beyond. The business changed its name and expanded its entity to Dixie Memorial Pet Gardens, LLC in 2006 as services grew, and it remains an independent, locally owned provider to this day.
The grounds are professionally landscaped with ponds, fountains, and an arbor designed for peaceful reflection. Families can honor their pets' memory through the Beautification Fund, sponsoring the planting of trees, shrubs, or the installation of park benches or statuary. Dixie Memorial holds accreditation from both the Better Business Bureau and the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories (IAOPCC), underscoring its commitment to professional, ethical care. The facility is open seven days a week, 9 AM to 5 PM.
