Faithful Friends Pet Crematory was born from personal loss. In 2017, founder Kathy Elliott had to say goodbye to her dog Oreo due to a brain tumor, only to discover that Clovis, New Mexico had no local pet cremation service — anyone who wanted their pet cremated faced shipping the animal 100 miles away. That experience inspired Elliott to open Faithful Friends at 994 NM-77 in Clovis, creating the first local cremation resource for pet owners in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas. The crematory accepts all domestic animals, from dogs and cats to birds and hamsters, and accommodates pets weighing up to 200 pounds.
Faithful Friends takes identity and integrity seriously. Every animal is tracked through a special tagging system that ensures no mix-ups occur during the cremation process. Families who choose private or semi-private cremation are guaranteed to receive only their own pet's ashes. For those who want to keep their companion close at all times, the crematory also offers custom hand-turned mini keychain urns crafted locally. The team also provides a pickup service for pets who have passed at home, sparing families from having to make an already difficult trip.
