HALO Pet Crematory LLC was founded in 2021 in Killen, Alabama with a deeply personal mission: after the owners' beloved dog Halo passed away, they discovered there were no local pet cremation options in the Shoals area. They set out to fill that gap, sourcing the best equipment available and opening their first facility on US-72 in Killen. The business quickly earned community support and expanded to a second location in Huntsville, Alabama at 109 Dominion Circle, making HALO the only locally owned and operated pet crematory serving North Alabama.

HALO serves families across North Alabama, southern Middle Tennessee, and northeastern Mississippi. Their facilities are designed to provide a comfortable, peaceful environment for grieving families, and the team takes pride in offering genuinely personalized service. At-home pickup is available seven days a week, with additional fees applying for pickups outside of normal business hours. The Huntsville location operates by appointment.

What to Expect

When you contact HALO, you can arrange a facility drop-off or schedule at-home pickup. The cremation process typically takes two to three hours, after which remains are placed in an urn or returned to you for scattering. Private cremation packages automatically include a clay paw print keepsake, and families may also request an ink print for an additional $10. HALO does not offer client-attended cremations but welcomes families to tour the facility at any time. Staff responds to text messages Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, and urgent matters can always be handled by phone.
