Heavenly Paws Pet Aquamation

About Heavenly Paws Pet Aquamation
Heavenly Paws Pet Aquamation has served Atlanta and the metro area since 2015 and holds the distinction of being the first provider to offer pet aquamation services in Georgia. Located in Alpharetta, the company was founded by lifelong pet lovers who recognized a need for a gentler, more environmentally responsible alternative to traditional flame cremation. Aquamation — also known as alkaline hydrolysis — uses heated alkaline water to dissolve soft tissue, leaving behind clean bone ash. The process produces approximately 20% more ash than flame cremation while using 95% less energy and releasing no toxic emissions or greenhouse gases.
Heavenly Paws works with veterinary hospitals throughout the Atlanta metro area; partnering vet pickups are complimentary, and transportation from non-partnering clinics is available for a fee. Home service calls are also offered. The company uses a proprietary PAWS Tracking ID system — each pet receives a numbered stainless steel tag at pickup that stays with them throughout the entire process — giving families confidence that the ashes they receive are genuinely their own companion's. Special pricing is available for service animals, law enforcement, and military families, and active duty military and police K-9 aquamation services are provided at no charge.

What to Expect
Families can begin by calling 678-995-9520 or completing a pre-planning form online. If your pet passes at a veterinary hospital, you can request Heavenly Paws by name — they will coordinate pickup at no charge from partnering clinics. For non-partnering vets or home pickups, a transportation fee applies. Once in their care, your pet is assigned a PAWS ID tag and processed individually. Turnaround time for aquamation is approximately one to two weeks, after which the ashes — along with a Certificate of Aquamation and your PAWS ID tag — are returned. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment.
