LoTe Veterinary End-of-Life Care

About LoTe Veterinary End-of-Life Care
LoTe Veterinary End-of-Life Care is a Lincoln, Nebraska mobile veterinary practice founded and led by Dr. Tricia Sund, a veterinarian trained at Kansas State University who has built her career around the most meaningful — and most difficult — moment in a pet owner's life. Dr. Tricia's philosophy is simple: a peaceful transition at home, surrounded by the people your pet loves most, is the final gift you can give. She founded LoTe after working in small animal practice and leading mobile veterinary services, where she witnessed firsthand how much it matters to have someone who approaches end-of-life decisions with genuine empathy, grace, and expertise. Her research background at Colorado State University specifically explored the human-animal bond and the role of euthanasia in veterinary medicine.
LoTe offers two core services: a Quality of Life Consultation ($400) to help families navigate the difficult decision between palliative care and euthanasia, and In-Home Euthanasia ($400) performed entirely in your home with medications tailored to your specific pet. Dr. Tricia handles the process from start to finish — there is no staff rotation — and she personally delivers private cremation ashes back to your home at a later date. Appointments can be scheduled by form, phone, call, text, or email; same-day visits are available for an additional $50 fee. The practice serves Lincoln, Nebraska, with additional travel charges potentially applicable beyond Lincoln's boundaries.
