Mobile Veterinary Services is a one-veterinarian practice based in Honolulu, Hawaii, led by Dr. Walter Lam, DVM. Established in 2012, the practice travels across the entire island of Oahu — from Ewa Beach to Mokuleia, Kahuku, Hawaii Kai, and Makaha — bringing comprehensive veterinary care to pets in their own homes. Dr. Lam, a Honolulu native, earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and completed additional externships in California and surrounding states before returning to Hawaii to serve local pet owners.
Dr. Lam's practice is built on the belief that preventative care and routine wellness are the foundations of a long, healthy life for pets. He arrives at each appointment with a fully equipped mobile clinic, including the ability to conduct blood work and diagnostic testing on-site. For families facing the end of their pet's life, Dr. Lam provides in-home euthanasia with kindness and patience, and can coordinate cremation and the return of ashes to the family. Clients across Oahu consistently praise his affordability, thoroughness, and warm bedside manner.

What to Expect
Mobile Veterinary Services operates by appointment, reachable by phone or text at (808) 383-2071 or by email at DVMWalter@Gmail.com. Appointment hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dr. Lam prefers text contact during busy periods. He arrives with everything needed to conduct exams, run lab work, and provide treatment without requiring a trip to a clinic. For end-of-life appointments, he explains the process clearly, administers sedation and euthanasia gently, arranges for the pet's remains to be picked up, and offers families the option of having ashes returned. A clay paw print keepsake has also been provided for families upon request.
