Serenity In Home Pet Euthanasia

About Serenity In Home Pet Euthanasia
Serenity In Home Pet Euthanasia was founded by Dr. Ryan Pearce DVM, who graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Arizona since 2010. After years of clients asking him to come to their homes for end-of-life care, Dr. Pearce established Serenity with a singular focus: helping families say goodbye to their pets with grace and dignity in the comfort of their own home. He is a member of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and performs every appointment himself, with his wife Jessica assisting the care team.
Serenity is based near the intersection of Power and Thomas in Mesa, Arizona, and serves much of the greater Phoenix valley, including Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, and surrounding communities. The practice maintains an extended availability window — open seven days a week — to accommodate families when they need support most. After-hours, weekend, and holiday appointments are available, and extended travel to areas beyond a standard 30-minute drive from Mesa is possible for an additional fee.
Services Offered
Serenity In Home Pet Euthanasia provides the following services to families in the Mesa, Arizona area:
- In-Home Euthanasia — performed with a two-step process: sedative first, then a gentle euthanasia agent via IV catheter
- Euthanasia with Individual Cremation — ashes returned in a standard urn with complimentary clay paw print and ink paw print
- Euthanasia with Communal Cremation — includes complimentary ink paw print; ashes not returned
- Euthanasia Only — for families who wish to keep their pet's remains at home
- Transportation to Crematorium — for pets that have already passed away at home
- Private/Viewed Cremation — arranged with a crematorium in Mesa for families who wish to be present
What to Expect
Every Serenity appointment begins with a consultation and discussion of your pet's condition. Dr. Pearce never rushes the visit — he answers all questions and honors any special requests you may have. If you decide to proceed with euthanasia, your pet first receives a sedative injection so that their final moments are peaceful and free of anxiety; within 5–10 minutes they will be deeply relaxed. Dr. Pearce then places an IV catheter and administers the euthanasia agent, with most pets passing peacefully within 10–15 seconds. Afterward, Dr. Pearce gives families as much time as they need before handling any cremation arrangements. If you are uncertain about euthanasia at the time of the visit, that is completely acceptable — a consultation fee applies but no euthanasia will be performed without your consent.
