Sleepy Hollow Pet Memorial Park and Cremation Services

About Sleepy Hollow Pet Memorial Park and Cremation Services
Sleepy Hollow Pet Memorial Park and Cremation Services is one of Northern California's most established and respected pet memorial providers, located at 4575 Rhonda Road in Anderson, California. The cemetery was founded in 1986 by Shasta County residents Kirk and Karen Sanders, who were moved to act after discovering how limited the aftercare options were for North Valley pet families. Their mission — to ensure that other pet owners would always have a dignified and caring choice — became the cornerstone of the region's first dedicated pet cemetery. The facility carries a motto that still guides the team today: "Providing compassionate care to pets and the people who love them."
Sleepy Hollow's cemetery grounds are set on a beautiful hillside with rolling green grass, manicured gardens, and a picturesque pond. The land is officially dedicated for cemetery use with all proper permits, and an endowment fund has been established to ensure the grounds are maintained in perpetuity — meaning the remains of pets interred there will always be protected, regardless of who owns and operates the business in the future. The cemetery also absorbed the remains of approximately 400 to 450 pets from an earlier, unofficial pet burial ground operated by Redding's Haven Humane Society when that organization relocated in 1988. Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the staff can be reached at (530) 365-9093.
