Summerfield Pet Memorial Park & Crematory was established in 2017 in Bismarck, North Dakota, in remembrance of Charles Summerfield Eastgate, a man known for his deep appreciation of the bond between people and their pets. The park was made possible through the generosity of Fairview Cemetery, and it has since grown into a trusted aftercare destination for families throughout Bismarck and the surrounding region. With two locations — a business office at 1313 E Century Ave and the memorial park and crematory at 2929 E Century Ave — Summerfield provides both the practical side of pet aftercare and a peaceful, permanent place for remembrance.

Summerfield offers families a rare combination: on-site cremation with thorough identification protocols, and a beautiful pet memorial park where families can visit for years to come. Pets at Summerfield are never removed from the facility's custody until they are safely returned to their families, and every cremation is completed with its own unique identification tag. The facility also provides grief support resources, including a year of weekly comfort messages for families navigating the loss of a beloved companion.

What to Expect

At Summerfield, families can bring their pet directly to the facility or arrange transport. All cremations are performed individually — one at a time, regardless of size or weight — with a unique identification tag accompanying your pet throughout the entire process. Cremated remains are returned within 72 hours and may be received either as traditional ash in a complimentary urn or in the form of Parting Stones, a solidified keepsake option. Families who wish to see the memorial grounds before making burial arrangements are welcome to visit by appointment; the grounds include peaceful, landscaped burial sites where families can return to pay their respects long into the future. Summerfield's office is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and families are encouraged to call ahead at (701) 751-3438.
