Vet At Your Door is a membership-based mobile veterinary practice based in Freeport, Maine, delivering high-touch, relationship-driven care directly to pets and families in their homes. The practice operates on a distinctive "One-Team" model: rather than seeing a different provider each visit, each pet family is assigned a dedicated three-person team consisting of a veterinarian, a veterinary technician, and a client liaison. This team stays with the family over time, building genuine familiarity with the pet's health history and the family's circumstances. Vet At Your Door currently fields teams operating out of Brunswick and Biddeford, with an additional team in Kingfield serving more rural areas of Maine.

The practice is an independent operation building toward employee ownership — a model designed to keep providers in their roles longer and deepen the relationships that make in-home care meaningful. One-Team Membership includes proactive wellness care (exams, vaccines, and screening diagnostics), priority access to the assigned team, and after-hours live chat support from VAYD staff directly. For families navigating end-of-life care, Vet At Your Door provides in-home hospice support and euthanasia services, with extended evening hours available most Monday through Thursday for in-home euthanasia appointments in served communities. All care is delivered using Fear Free principles.

Families can access Vet At Your Door through a One-Team Membership (starting around $59/month or $639 annually) for ongoing proactive care, or through a Pay Per Visit option for episodic needs such as sick visits, quality of life evaluations, or in-home euthanasia. When you reach out, VAYD will confirm whether your address falls within their current service area — teams currently serve Brunswick, Biddeford, Kingfield, and surrounding communities, with an expansion list available for areas not yet covered. For euthanasia specifically, extended hours are offered most Monday through Thursday evenings in served towns.
